A French Model 1886 Lebel epee bayonet featuring a long, slender steel blade with a cruciform cross-section tapering to a pointed tip. The hilt is constructed with a brass handle and a steel crossguard. The crossguard is stamped with the serial number P 44173. The item is accompanied by its original tubular steel scabbard, which features a rounded ball finial at the tip.
