A collection of vermeil replica proofs struck in 24kt gold electroplate over sterling silver. Issued by the International Society of Postmasters and manufactured by the Franklin Mint. The set comprises metallic replicas of historical first issues including the UK 1840 1d Penny Black, Brazil 1843 30r Bull’s Eye, France 1849 20c Ceres, China 1878 1c Candarin, and various German States. Each proof replicates the original stamp dimensions, perforation status, and engraved features. Housed in the original red velvet-lined display trays within a brown leatherette-textured presentation binder.
