Buyer's Premium:

A vintage ensemble of tabletop gaming items featuring a professional-style roulette wheel and a classic word game. The roulette wheel is constructed from a polished wooden bowl with a contrasting black-painted base. It features a central removable metal spinner assembly with a brass top stamped Roulette Francaise Marque Deposee. The underside of the bowl retains an original paper retailer label for Mudie and Sons Ltd, 15 Coventry Street, London, W.1, a prestigious stationer and bookseller of the early to mid-twentieth century. Accompanying the wheel is an early edition of Lexicon, the game of skill, excitement and interest, manufactured by John Waddington Ltd of London and Leeds (Registered Number 529991). The card game is housed in its original red cardboard slipcase and includes the primary red Rules booklet, a secondary grey New Games booklet, and a set of lettered cards with numerical values. Lexicon was first introduced in 1932, and this set likely dates from the late 1930s. Dimensions unavailable as no scale was provided.
