A contemporary decorative short sword, manufactured in China. This item is a modern reproduction inspired by WWII-era German officer dress designs. The straight, double-edged blade is crafted from stainless steel and features a central fuller. The ricasso is stamped with the maker mark CHINA STAINLESS STEEL. The hilt is constructed from polished silver-toned metal with gold-toned decorative inserts. The crossguard is cast in the shape of a spread-wing eagle, and the pommel is formed as an eagle head. The grip features horizontal bands and a central gold-toned swastika medallion. The matching polished metal scabbard displays ornate floral scrollwork on the chape, while the locket features a decorative band with a spread-wing eagle and swastika motif, including a small brass-toned hanging chain. Blade length: 33 cm.
