A realistically modelled cast brass equestrian figure depicting General Ferdinand Foch, who served as the Supreme Allied Commander on the Western Front during the First World War. The General is portrayed in detailed military uniform featuring a kepi, epaulettes, and cast medals, holding delicate wire-work reins. The horse is depicted in a spirited prancing gait with its front right leg raised. The sculpture is mounted on a dark-stained, stepped rectangular wooden base, which is secured with screws and finished with four circular felt pads to the underside. This commemorative piece captures the likeness of one of the most significant military figures of 1918. Approximately 22cm length, 19cm height.
