A Japanese Satsuma-style earthenware vase dating from the Taisho to early Showa era, circa 1911-1947. The vessel is decorated in polychrome enamels and moriage (raised) techniques. The primary decorative reserve depicts a traditional landscape featuring figures (bijin) and a procession near a river with mountains in the distance. The neck and sides are finished with a black ground, accented by turquoise moriage beadwork and floral cartouches. The flared rim and shoulder are further embellished with geometric and floral borders in red and gold. The underside bears a faintly incised mark, likely reading Japan. This piece is accompanied by a handwritten note identifying it as a wedding vase. Measurements: Not provided.
