A vintage Poole Pottery tea and coffee service of mid-century modern design, presented within a large rectangular woven wicker picnic hamper. The ceramic service features a sophisticated two-tone glaze with dark chocolate brown exteriors and contrasting off-white interiors and lid. The design is further detailed with decorative vertical ribbing to the bases and rims. The set comprises one lidded coffee or teapot, one creamer, six cups, and a stack of six saucers. Each ceramic piece is stamped to the base with the POOLE ENGLAND mark. The hamper is constructed from natural wicker and includes leather fastening straps with metal buckles. Approximate hamper dimensions: 51cm x 31cm x 17cm.
