A comprehensive fine bone china service manufactured by Royal Albert, England, in the iconic Old Country Roses pattern. The service is crafted in the classic Montrose shape, characterised by fluted bodies and scalloped edges. The decoration features transfer-printed clusters of burgundy, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage, finished with hand-applied stippled 22ct gold to the rims and gilded accents to the handles, spouts, and feet. The set comprises a teapot with lid, six teacups, six saucers, six dinner plates, six side plates, a gravy boat with matching underplate, a creamer, an open sugar bowl, a pair of salt and pepper shakers, and a tiered cake stand with silver-tone central spindle hardware. Also included is a boxed presentation set containing a large rectangular fluted cake serving plate and a matching ceramic-handled cake knife in the original Royal Albert burgundy box.
