A comprehensive twenty-seven piece service of traditional Bulgarian Troyan folk pottery. This set is crafted from glazed red-clay earthenware (terracotta) and originates from the regional artisanal workshops of the Troyan district. Each piece is hand-decorated using the traditional slip-trailing technique, featuring the iconic Troyan peacock eye motifs. The decoration is executed in cream, cobalt blue, and black slip, applied over a rich, high-gloss reddish-brown base glaze. The service comprises one large handled pitcher, one small handled pitcher, one circular saucer, twelve rounded bowls of uniform size, six medium handleless tumblers, and six small cups suitable for rakia or espresso. No manufacturer’s marks are present, which is characteristic of these regional artisanal folk pieces. Dimensions: Not provided.
