This vintage gambling spinning top, of British origin, is a classic Odds On horse racing game piece dating from the 1920s to 1930s. Constructed from cast brass with a heavy metal alloy composition, the piece features a two-tiered hexagonal body designed to determine both a winning horse and the corresponding payout. The top tier is embossed with the names of fictional horses including GOLDEN CORN, VUTOR, HARRIER, ENVOY, SIGRID, and SODAS. The lower tier displays betting odds such as 2-1, 4-1, 6-1, 8-1, and 10-1. The mechanism is a manual hand-spun design with a knurled spindle handle for grip. The base is marked PAT APP FOR (Patent Applied For), consistent with early 20th-century manufacturing.
