Early 19th century antique cast bronze Khmer style
elephant. This solid, dark-patinated figurine features intricate patterned decoration on its head and back. It was made using the lost wax method of casting, with traces of sand still visible inside. The casting is likely early to mid 19th century, possibly earlier. It exhibits a rich, dark surface patina and texture consistent with age and casting. A yellow sticker with ‘883’ is affixed to its rear.
