A Maling ceramic model of ‘The Old Castle’, Newcastle upon Tyne, commemorating the North East Coast Exhibition of May 1929. This architectural model, possibly functioning as a decorative container or spill vase, is crafted in a rustic style with a textured, speckled grayish-greenish brown glaze designed to simulate stone. It features crenellated battlements, multiple towers, and various openings.
