A pair of Wade ‘Zena’ Art Deco ceramic dancer figurines, designed by Jessie Van Hallen, circa 1927-1930s. Comprising two glazed ceramic figures depicting female dancers. The first, titled ‘Springtime’, features a dancer in warm yellow and orange tones, holding flowing drapery in a dynamic pose atop a textured green base. The second, titled ‘Tona!’, depicts a dancer wearing a vibrant red and yellow tiered dress, suggestive of a flamenco or similar dance, with a detailed headscarf. Both figurines are marked ‘WADE’ with a leaping deer motif and ‘MADE in England’ on their undersides, along with their respective model names ‘Springtime’ and ‘Tona!’ in script.
