A two-tone salt-glazed stoneware advertising jug by Doulton Lambeth for John Dewar & Sons, Perth Whisky, dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian period. The upper section is olive green with a spout and handle, featuring raised lettering “PERTH WHISKY”. The lower body is a lighter tan/brown, extensively decorated with cream-colored relief-molded scenes, including figures in traditional attire such as a kilted man with an animal, trees, and other landscape elements. Prominently printed in black on the lower body is “BY ROYAL WARRANT TO HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN”, encompassing the British Royal Coat of Arms with its motto “DIEU ET MON DROIT”, and “John Dewar & Sons LIMITED DISTILLERS, PERTH, N.B.”. The base is impressed with “DOULTON LAMBETH ENGLAND” in a cartouche, along with the number “4768” and other small, indistinct marks.
