A pair of Whitman ‘Great Britain Pennies Collection’ coin albums. These dark blue, faux-leather bound albums are specifically titled “GREAT BRITAIN PENNIES Collection No. 1 1860 to 1880 (No. 9881)” and “Collection No. 2 1881 to 1901 (No. 9882).” The folders organize numerous copper or bronze British pennies from the Victorian era (1837-1901), displaying various Queen Victoria effigies, including “Young Head, ” “Aged Head, ” and “Veiled Head” types, with Britannia on the reverse. Visible coin dates range from 1860 to 1901, and some coins exhibit ‘H’ mint marks. While many slots are filled, both albums contain empty spaces, indicating incomplete sets for the specified periods. Collection No. 2 bears a handwritten label stating “Pennies 1901-1936 Incomplete, ” along with a yellow “666” sticker.
