A Pair of British Rail Bardic Signal Lamps, each featuring a robust, utilitarian design with a rectangular gray-painted metal body, a fixed top handle, and a large circular glass lens with a black rubberized bezel. One lantern shows impressed text, partially obscured by a latch, which reads “WONDER” and “PAT. NO. 1,604,277 1927”, indicating a patent date. A metal mounting bracket with keyhole slots is visible on the side of one lantern. Likely dating to the early to mid-20th century, these portable electric lanterns are consistent with vintage industrial or utility equipment.
