An E. Thomas & Williams Ltd. Cambrian Miners Safety Lamp. This vintage safety lamp features a robust construction with polished metallic upper components, likely nickel-plated brass or steel, and a patinated brass base and lower ring. A clear glass cylinder protects the internal wick mechanism. An oval-shaped embossed plaque on the main body reads “E. THOMAS & WILLIAMS LTD.” above “CAMBRIAN, ” with a small crown-like emblem situated above the number “NO 329,” and “MAKERS” followed by “ABERDARE WALES” at the bottom. The lamp is fitted with a hinged metal carrying handle on its domed top.
