An antique brass ship’s bell, clearly etched or engraved with the designation “MID TYNE FERRY NO.2”. This bell originates from the M.V. Mid Tyne Ferry No.2, originally named ‘Tyne Princess, ‘ which was built in the 1940s. The vessel and bell notably appeared in the 1970 film “Get Carter.” The bell features a flared rim and a robust square-shaped suspension lug with a circular opening at its apex. It is accompanied by a separate cast iron clapper.
