A substantial collection of vintage postcards, constructed from cardstock, displaying a diverse range of styles characteristic of the late 19th to mid-20th century. The collection includes humorous caricatures of children and adults, often bearing witty or punny captions such as “OH, CHEESE IT! YOU KNOW I LOVES YOU!” and “But I’m a little behind with the rent.” Also present are sentimental illustrations featuring animals, flowers, and festive scenes, exemplified by “Hearty greetings, Kind Thoughts and Good Wishes for a Happy Christmas.” Photographic examples include sepia-toned architectural views like “Ely Cathedral Clock Tower” and tinted landscapes such as “Seaside Whiffs.” Many cards bear English text and titles.
