A collection of approximately eighteen glazed porcelain items by Wade, primarily comprising various-sized tortoise and turtle figurines, along with one hedgehog-shaped lidded box and a single oval dish. The pieces are rendered in a naturalistic yet decorative style, predominantly in earthy tones of brown, tan, and beige, with some individual items featuring blue-gray or green accents on their shells and limbs. The oval dish displays a textured, shell-like interior with a small tortoise figurine at its center and three integrated cigarette rests, suggesting its intended use as an ashtray. Both the hedgehog and a larger turtle figurine are designed as lidded boxes, as is one smaller turtle. The base of one of the larger lidded turtle figurines is clearly embossed with the markings: “WADE PORCELAIN MADE IN ENGLAND.”
