A Late Victorian or Early Edwardian W & R Carlton Ware ceramic jug, bearing Registered Design No. 332765. The rounded body features a transfer-printed golf scene depicting three male figures in period attire on a green landscape. It is further embellished with a raised ‘beaded’ band and gold trim. The jug is fitted with a dark metal, likely pewter, lid topped with a pointed finial, and has a handle with gold accents and a spout. The base is marked with a blue underglaze stamp featuring a crown symbol, ‘W & R’, ‘STOKE ON TRENT’, ‘CARLTON WARE’, and ‘RD No 332765’. Accompanying the jug is a separate aged brass accessory, composed of a hinged scoop-like implement and a cylindrical container, connected by a chain.
