Auction 8th December - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables & More
A collection of four decorative items. The lot includes a tall, pewter vase, identified as pewter and attributed to Charles Rennie Mackintosh, dating to the 1900s, with a clear glass insert. The vase displays an embossed Art Nouveau-style design of stylized botanical motifs. Also present are two small lidded ceramic trinket boxes; one oval and one hexagonal. The oval box is identified as bone china, and the hexagonal as china. Both are adorned with intricate William Morris floral and foliate patterns in vibrant colours with gilded edges, presented in an Art Nouveau context. Completing the collection is a small, stylized multi-coloured enamelled metal animal figure, crafted in a cloisonné technique with distinct sections of vibrant enamel.
Condition report:
The pewter vase is in good condition with minor surface wear consistent with age; the clear glass insert is intact. The two ceramic trinket boxes appear undamaged. The enamelled metal animal figure is also in good condition.
