A set of five Wm Rogers silverplate 1939 New York World’s Fair souvenir spoons. Each spoon features a handle adorned with an Art Deco-inspired finial depicting a cityscape and the year “1939,” followed by the vertical engraving “NEW YORK WORLDS FAIR.” The bowls of the spoons are individually etched with detailed illustrations of structures from the fair, identified by text as “NEW YORK STATE AMPHITHEATER, ” “TEXTILE BUILDING, ” “GEORGIAN SECTION COURT OF THE STATES BUILDINGS, ” “FOOD EXHIBIT BUILDING, ” and “ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.”
