The artwork portrays two gentlemen in red hunting coats on horseback, receiving drinks from a woman in period attire outside a rustic, timber-framed inn or tavern, accompanied by a pack of foxhounds. A faint figure on horseback crosses a bridge in the background. The painting is executed in a representational style with visible brushwork and is signed “E. Huber” in white in the lower right corner. It is housed in a carved, gilt, and possibly re-gilt wooden frame with a reddish undertone.
