A novelty teapot produced by Swineside Teapottery, known as the ‘Bell Hop’ or ‘Bellboy’ pattern. The vessel is crafted from glazed ceramic and is figural, depicting a bellhop seated upon a gray suitcase. The suitcase forms the main body of the teapot, while the bellhop’s head and torso function as the removable lid, and the arm forms the spout. The figure wears a gray uniform with black accents and is detailed with high-gloss gold luster applied to the epaulets, buttons, and the hardware corners of the suitcase. The gray suitcase exterior is decorated with applied travel decals reading “ROME 1ST CLASS, ” “CEYLON, ” and a triangular label partially visible as “HINA.” The underside of the base is marked with the inscribed or stamped text “NICKIE ROSS.”
