This lot contains two vintage collectibles: a large, oblong woven wicker basket and a wooden tennis racket secured within a wooden racket press. The basket is constructed of deep brown wicker or rattan and features a single braided handle looped over the top, typical of vintage market or gathering baskets. The wooden tennis racket is branded “Classic LONDON” and features a gold decal and a red and black crest logo on the throat. The handle is finished in clear lacquer over natural wood, decorated with horizontal blue and black stripes. The racket is held within a dark-stained wooden press secured by four metal bolts and wingnuts, designed to maintain the frame’s integrity.
