A single traditional swivel dressing mirror, often referred to as a toilet mirror, constructed from dark hardwood, likely mahogany or mahogany-stained wood. The design is consistent with late Georgian or Regency styles, frequently appearing in the market as Edwardian period furniture. The mirror features an oval glass plate set within a conforming wooden frame. This frame is mounted between two upright standards, allowing the mirror to pivot. The standards rest upon a shaped base featuring scrolled feet and a central serpentine apron or stretcher connecting the supports. The pivoting mechanism is secured by decorative bosses, which are cream-colored, circular insets detailed with a concentric spiral pattern, likely bone, ivory, or a faux material substitute.
