An Italian rotary desk telephone constructed with a substantial, square pedestal base and matching horizontal cradle made of polished, variegated green, brown, and white onyx or marble. The metal components, including the handset mounts, receiver/transmitter bells, and the visible rotary dial mechanism, are made of brass or bronze. The handset features a central turned section of highly veined onyx. The front face of the base holds a circular rotary dial numbered 1 through 0. A braided black cloth-wrapped cord extends from the rear.
