A single decorative vessel, executed in the Indo-Persian or Mughal style. The vase is carved from dark green variegated marble. The form features a flared pedestal base, a bulbous body, a narrow neck, and a wide, disc-shaped rim. The surface is extensively decorated using the Pietra Dura (Pachikari) technique, incorporating intricate inlay work of various semi-precious stones. These inlaid materials include mother-of-pearl (nacre), turquoise or malachite (green), and carnelian (red/orange). The inlay forms stylized floral and foliate motifs covering the body, base, and rim. This style of craftsmanship is commonly associated with artisans in Agra, India. No visible text, signatures, or maker’s marks are present.
