This is a single modern devotional wall crucifix. The corpus of Christ is molded from resin or a composite material and affixed to a cross constructed of wood l, exhibiting a light, textured grain finish. The corpus is painted in naturalistic tones, depicting Christ with a dark beard, long hair, and a green painted crown of thorns. A visible wound is painted on the right side of the torso. A molded, gilded circular nimbus with radiating lines is positioned behind the head. A small plaque (titulus crucis) bearing the letters INRI is affixed above the corpus’s head. The overall design is consistent with manufactured religious articles intended for wall display.
