A large, elliptical coffee or cocktail table featuring a sculptural base constructed in the Postmodern style, circa 1980s. The table is composed of thick, clear glass forming the oval tabletop, which is secured to a central pedestal. The pedestal is formed by numerous individual panes of aqua-tinted glass, stacked and progressively rotated vertically to create a dramatic tapering spiral helix. The base rests on a thick circular glass plinth, secured by minor glass spacers. The tabletop attaches via a central brushed stainless steel mounting plate. This design is widely recognized in the market as the ‘Helix Spiral’ style, often associated with designs of the 1970s and 1980s.
