A sterling silver photo frame manufactured by Carrs Silver of Sheffield, England. The frame features a traditional beaded or gadrooned pattern around the inner bezel, identified commercially as the ‘Bead Edge’ pattern. The frame is supported by a dark, reddish-brown wood backing board incorporating an easel stand for display. Hallmarks visible on the lower front edge include the maker’s mark ‘RC’ (Carrs), the fineness mark ‘925’ (Sterling Silver), the Sheffield Assay Office mark (Crown), the Lion Passant standard mark, and the date letter ‘n’, corresponding to the year 1997.
