A pair of polychrome painted porcelain or bisque figurines manufactured by Royal Dux Bohemia, depicting a young male and female figure, modeled in the Neoclassical or Classical Revival style. The figures are identified in the market as the ‘Water Bearer’ pair. Each figure is rendered standing and carrying an amphora or water jug. The figures are draped in flowing classical attire painted in muted tones of salmon pink, sage green, and cream. They stand upon oval pedestal bases decorated with relief scrolling foliage motifs and accented with gold-tone detailing around the rim. The undersides of both bases bear the distinctive terracotta triangular stamp for Royal Dux Bohemia. The bases also feature impressed white rectangular plaques marked with model numbers 132 (male figure) and 133 (female figure), along with additional faint incised numerals.
