A detailed scale model of an 18th Century Frigate, identified by the affixed brass-toned plaque as “FRAGATA Siglo XVIII.” The model is constructed primarily of wood with a varnished hull featuring simulated gunports fitted with brass-toned cannon barrels. The hull is painted in brown and green sections, detailed with extensive decorative frieze panels. The ship is a multi-masted vessel, fully rigged with extensive thread rigging in black, brown, and red cordage. The sails are made of light-colored fabric showing vertical stripe detailing. Deck details include a ship’s wheel, small wooden barrels, and various deck fittings. The model is mounted on a rectangular, dark-stained wooden pedestal base.
