A collection of twenty pieces of mid-20th century Royal Albert Bone China tableware in the “Elfin” pattern. The set comprises four teacups, four saucers, three side plates, one footed open sugar bowl, and one footed creamer or milk jug. Each piece is constructed of fine bone china and features a design characterized by pale aqua or turquoise interiors and borders set against a white ground. Decoration includes a central transfer print of a pink or magenta four-petaled flower with accompanying green foliage. Heavy gold gilding accents the rims, handles, and footings of the pieces. The items bear the characteristic Royal Albert backstamp featuring the crown logo, “Bone China ENGLAND, ” and the pattern name “ELFIN.”
