A United States Model 1917 bayonet manufactured by Remington. The single-edged steel blade features a deep fuller and is marked at the ricasso with a circular Remington logo above a 1913 stamp that has been struck through and overstamped with 17, accompanied by a 9 17 date code. The reverse ricasso displays a US stamp and a partial eagle head ordnance proof mark. The hilt is fitted with dark wooden grips featuring two horizontal grooves. The bayonet is paired with a leather-bodied scabbard featuring a steel throat with a wire belt hanger and a steel chape.
