Based on the accompanying documentation, this is a 48-inch Welsh Dresser, sold by Peter Hall & Son in 1987. The piece is constructed of light to medium-toned oak in a traditional or Arts and Crafts style. It is presented in two parts: a base cabinet and a removable upper hutch. The base features two central drawers, one of which is internally partitioned, fitted with simple brass-toned pulls. Below the drawers are two recessed paneled cabinet doors opening to internal storage space. The upper hutch rests atop the base, featuring a beadboard planked back panel, a slightly arched pediment, and two fixed open shelves suitable for plate display.
