A collection of three formation insignia badges associated with the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division. Each badge features a high-relief design modeled after a stylized Tudor Rose, executed in silver-toned white metal. The items are identified through market consensus as the 1st Pattern Formation Badge for the 49th Division. The reverse of each badge is fitted with a screw-back attachment mechanism consisting of a central threaded post secured to a circular brass plate. The brass backing plate is impressed with manufacturer markings reading SPU[R?] LONDON.
