This industrial railway ground signal lamp was manufactured by Lamp Manufacturing & Railway Supplies Ltd, London. The unit features a heavy rectangular cast iron body with a prominent convex bullseye glass lens to the front. The top is fitted with a circular cap secured by two large bolts and nuts, positioned above a row of circular ventilation holes. The reverse is embossed with the manufacturer name and includes the inscription PATENT NO 196218 HS68. Below the lettering is a rectangular glass viewing pane. The lamp includes mounting brackets to the sides and base.
