A fine pair of Art Deco sterling silver and guilloché enamel napkin rings, manufactured by the renowned silversmiths Sanders & Mackenzie. Each cylindrical ring features a broad band of translucent pale yellow enamel applied over a delicate wavy engine-turned ground, creating a shimmering effect. The enamel is bordered by narrow silver rims featuring chased foliate decoration. The interiors are finished in a natural silver and bear a full suite of English hallmarks. Marks include the maker’s mark S&M for Sanders & Mackenzie, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, the lion passant indicating sterling silver fineness, and the date letter E for 1929. The pair is housed in its original rectangular leatherette presentation case with a cream silk and velvet-lined interior. Dimensions: Approximately 45mm diameter each.
