A pair of contemporary decorative sculptures of the seated Buddha, manufactured from cast resin. The first figure is finished in a dark verdigris-patinated style to simulate aged bronze, depicted in the bhumisparsha mudra (earth-touching gesture). The second figure is finished in an antiqued cream tone to simulate carved stone, featuring intricate geometric and scrollwork patterns on the robes and seated upon a double lotus throne. This figure displays the abhaya (fearlessness) and varada (granting wishes) mudras, with both palms featuring embossed Dharma wheel symbols. Both sculptures exhibit traditional iconographic elements including snail-shell curls, a prominent ushnisha, and elongated earlobes. There are no artist signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers present. The figures feature integral bases, with a blue protective foam pad applied to the underside of the lighter figure.
