A mid-20th century English oak trinket box by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson of Kilburn. The rectangular box is of traditional construction, featuring a lift-off lid adorned with the maker’s signature high-relief carving of a mouse with a long, trailing tail. The exterior surfaces exhibit a characteristic lightly adzed, textured finish, showcasing the prominent medullary rays of the English oak. The interior is expertly hollowed out from a single block of wood with smooth, rounded internal corners. The piece displays a desirable medium honey-coloured patina, reflecting its age and craftsmanship within the Yorkshire Critters tradition. Dimensions: Unavailable.
