A fine pair of hand-carved English oak bookends from the workshop of Robert Mouseman Thompson of Kilburn, North Yorkshire. Each piece is expertly crafted from solid oak, displaying a prominent grain pattern and distinctive medullary rays. The bookends feature a curved, sloped face, each adorned with the iconic signature mouse figure carved in high relief. These pieces represent the traditional craftsmanship of the Yorkshire School of furniture making. No other maker marks or labels are present. Dimensions: Height 15.3cm, Width 9.2cm, Depth 12.8cm.
