A British glazed ceramic commemorative plate produced for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, likely of Staffordshire origin. The earthenware body features a central transfer-printed portrait of the Queen in her jubilee regalia, framed by a garland of roses, thistles, and shamrocks. The design incorporates four circular vignettes depicting the royal residences of Windsor Castle, Balmoral Castle, Buckingham Palace, and Osborne House. The plate is further embellished with various inscriptions including Empress of India, Queen of England, Longest Reign on Record, and her coronation year 1837. The lower section displays the royal coat of arms with the motto Dieu et mon droit. The plate is finished with a moulded scalloped rim and a gilt edge. Diameter: 24.5 cm.
