This collection consists of eleven individual pieces of cast brass, primarily novelty items from the mid-20th century. The group includes two nutcrackers, one featuring a plier-style design with textured handles and the other a lever-action mechanism with ornate scrolling handles. Desk accessories comprise a figural letter opener with a handle depicting a satyr-like figure and two feline-themed figures on square bases, likely intended as desk seals or pipe tampers. The animal figurines include a squirrel holding a nut, a stylized turtle, a poodle, a Scottish Terrier, and a small rabbit. Additionally, there is a whimsical figure of a man in a hat leaning against a lamppost. All pieces are sand-cast with visible casting seams and no identified maker’s marks. Dimensions: Letter opener length 18cm, largest nutcracker length 15cm. Total weight approximately 1.2kg.
