A pair of glazed ceramic character Toby jugs from Truscott Potteries, London, issued as part of the LVNH Royal Year Toby series. These hand-painted vessels represent two distinct figures: Paul Smith, numbered 060, shown with prominent sideburns and an orange-yellow bowtie, and Robert McNeile, numbered 210, wearing a straw boater hat with a maroon band. The bases are clearly marked with stamps stating Created by Ted Elkins and Jan Doman, London, Truscott Potteries, L.V.N.H Royal Year Toby, and Design by John Armstrong. These pieces were produced for the Licensed Victuallers National Homes.
