This Ferranti model 17T4 television receiver was manufactured by Ferranti Ltd. at the Radio Works in Moston, Manchester, England. The unit is housed in a rectangular tabletop cabinet finished in a dark wood veneer. The front elevation features a cathode ray tube screen positioned behind a glass protective panel, flanked by two black control knobs and a central speaker grille with striped brown fabric. The reverse of the cabinet retains its original black backplate, which details technical specifications for 200/250V AC/DC operation. The rear provides access to manual adjustments for focus, picture centring, and sensitivity, and includes a metal channel lock lever.
