A pair of stylised sheep figurines crafted from coarse red earthenware. These studio-produced pieces feature a heavy, textured white popcorn glaze applied over the majority of the body to simulate wool, leaving the faces and bases in their natural, unglazed terracotta state. The decoration includes a raised, scrolled circular motif on the chest and neck, transitioning to a deeply incised cross-hatched linear pattern across the sides and back. The eyes and noses are highlighted with dark brown slip. The figures are hollow-cast with rounded bodies and floppy ears, one posed looking forward and the other turned slightly to the side. These artisanal figures are characteristic of 1970s folk art decorative ceramics. Dimensions: Approximately 17cm x 11cm x 12cm each.
