A limited edition offset lithograph by the maritime artist Simon Fisher (S.W. Fisher), titled ‘The Canberra Inbound To Southampton’. The work depicts the P&O ocean liner Canberra arriving at her home port, accompanied by the paddle steamer Waverley. This impression is numbered 273 from a limited edition of 850. The print is hand-signed in pencil along the lower margin by the artist, S.W. Fisher (lower right), and co-signed by two notable commanders of the vessel: Captain D.J. Scott-Masson, C.B.E., R.D., R.N.R. (middle right), and Captain Philip Jackson (lower left). Captain Scott-Masson is particularly distinguished for his command of the Canberra during the Falklands War. The print includes a Certificate of Authenticity affixed to the reverse from the publisher, Simon Fisher Maritime, which provides biographical details for both captains. The work is presented in a dark wood frame with a gilt inner fillet and double matting. Image size approximately 370 x 690 mm. Sheet size approximately 460 x 770 mm.
