A late 19th-century ladies’ open-face fob watch by Dimier Freres & Cie (marked DF&C). The timepiece features a manual wind cylinder escapement bridge movement with a gilt finish, stamped with the manufacturer’s mark. The case is crafted from .935 fine silver, bearing Swiss hallmarks including the three bears purity mark, and is decorated with elaborate chased and engraved scrollwork to the reverse and edges. The white enamel dial is embellished with a polychrome floral inner ring and gilt leaf decorations, featuring black Roman numeral hour markers and gold-tone spade and whip style hands. The watch is accompanied by an ornate Victorian Albertina multi-strand silver-tone fob chain, complete with decorative sliders, a T-bar, and a tassel terminal. Serial number 35345 is stamped on the internal case back. No box or papers are present. Case size 33mm.
